Shockwave therapy—also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT)—uses high-energy acoustic sound waves to target the root of musculoskeletal conditions. These waves stimulate blood flow, accelerate tissue repair, reduce pain and inflammation, and help break down scar tissue or calcified deposits.
At TCP, we use shockwave therapy as part of a comprehensive approach to care. It’s particularly effective for chronic or persistent injuries that haven’t responded to other conservative treatments.

Each session typically lasts 5–10 minutes per treatment area and involves little to no downtime. While some patients may experience mild discomfort during the procedure, most report significant improvements in pain and mobility within just a few visits.
For optimal results, a series of 3–5 shockwave therapy sessions is recommended, spaced 5–7 days apart.
Shockwave therapy is a powerful, non-invasive treatment that supports tissue healing, enhances function, and helps you return to the activities you love.
